Filament Winding Software Programming with Radonix motion controller, Delta drivers, and 3D simulation – Project 2025

Description :

In 2025, we developed an advanced Filament Winding Software Programming project using the Radonix motion controller integrated with Delta drivers. The system supports full 4-axis control in both manual and automatic modes, with additional operation via the Radonix remote control.
The software allows operators to switch axes on/off, adjust speeds, and execute proportional and synchronized motion across all axes. Real-time monitoring of home sensors and emergency inputs ensures safe and reliable operation.

By importing DXF geometry files and defining parameters such as piece length, hole diameters, twist angle, and number of overlap layers, the software automatically calculates the motion paths. This guarantees complete fiber coverage of the tank during winding.

A built-in 3D simulation visualizes the winding process step by step, enabling operators to validate paths and detect issues before execution. This integration of Radonix hardware, Delta drivers, and custom programming provides precise fiber placement, efficient operation, and predictive maintenance capabilities for filament winding applications.
